One of Myanmar’s most prolific artists, Kyee Myint Saw’s works are alive with mobility and sparkles with the array of hues of typical Myanmar colours under the tropical sun. In the Market Day series, Kyee Myint Saw interplays with the mix of light and shadows to highlight subjects in the picture’s theme. His talent is displayed in his ability to catch light from the sun and its effect on the colours of the morning market while shadows give a feel of ease to his paintings.
