Rotiani first learned to paint from her own father, I Wayan Lantir when she was still in primary school. She loves to paint about Balinese traditions especially the Legong dancers as she loves this dance and wants to express her feelings on canvas. She has always been encouraged by her parents and by those around her to develop and work to the highest possible standards. Rotiani has participated in exhibitions at the Bali Art Centre together with the students of the Arts High School of Denpasar, and in an exhibition sponsored by Indonesia's prime daily newspaper "Kompas" at the Bentara Budaya Gallery in Jakarta.
